currently designing & building

Nice to meet you, I'm Ced.

A running log of who I am, what I build, and why — kept the way I keep everything else: structured, honest, and a little bit teal.

// 01 identity

Who are you?

I'm a designer and developer who builds digital experiences where functionality and aesthetic precision aren't a trade-off. I pair engineering discipline with creative problem-solving to make interfaces that don't just look considered — they feel obvious to use.

// 02 practice

What does Ced Designs do?

Ced Designs is a one-person studio working across UI/UX design, front-end development, and interactive systems. I take a project from early user journeys through to a clean, deployed build — so the thinking behind an interface and the code running it stay in sync.

// 03 origin

Why did you start it?

I started Ced Designs to close the gap between rigorous engineering and human-centered design — two things too often treated as opposites. Powerful systems shouldn't feel rigid to use. I wanted a practice where logic and visual storytelling are built together, from the first sketch.

// 04 method

How do you approach design?

Iteratively, and a little relentlessly. I treat design like a system: understand what people actually need, map a clean structure around it, then test the details until they hold up. Most of the work is quietly removing noise so the real purpose of a project can come through.

// 05 collaboration

Why work with you?

Because you get someone fluent in both code and design — I don't hand off mockups without understanding what they cost in system architecture and performance. If you want a partner who values clean execution, honest milestones, and work that actually looks like something, let's talk.

Let's build something remarkable.

Open to new collaborations, freelance projects, and the occasional ambitious idea scribbled on a napkin.
